Do you have a web site domain?
One of the first steps that should be done is to reserve a web
site domain name. If you are paying to have a web site created more than
likely you will also want your own name on the Internet (www.yourname.com).
You can reserve your name at one of the registration sites and most of these
sites will also park your name until you are ready to use it. All this
means is that they will hold the name in reserve for you.

You will need to find a site that will host your web
site. After your web site is completed you need somewhere to put the web
site so others on the Internet can find you. There are thousands of web
host that would love to have your business. But be careful because there
are some that do not have the customers best interest at heart. If you do
not want to hassle with this I can recommend a good web host for you.

Who is your audience?
You should define the web site's intended audience.
Decide what will motivate people to come to the site and to return. This

You can do a little research by looking at other sites to get a sense of the

Have you did some
brainstorming?
Establish an understanding of what makes a good site among
those that will be comparable to the one you are developing - especially those
built by your competitors. Critique the sites from a user's perspective.
What kind of message do you want your site to convey? Brainstorm
about everything that could be included in the site. Consider both content
and functionality. Functionality has to do with what kind of interactivity the
site will offer.

will you need?

What is required from you
as an Executive Solutions customer?
For me to design your web site I will need your help.
The process I implement to design your website is asking my customers to agree
in writing to help me help you. What this means is you will be required to
participate by being available to define, okay, proof, as well as help with the
outlining for the design of your website. What I do is provide you with a
mock-up of your site at various stages of development, that is where you come
in. You will need to approve each stage before I continue to ensure I am
on target and meeting your expectations.
Occasionally I have had situations when a customer can't (or
will not) follow our agreement. This causes extra work and time not
factored into my pricing or schedule. This means that extra charges will
be incurred for construction of your site. Customers that are in danger of
incurring these extra charges will be notified.
